CARDIO CARDIO CARDIO!!!!

Calories in = calories out to lose the weight.

In order to see those defined muscles you are getting from doing our exercises, you have to get the layers of fat off!
Did we mention cardio?

And thats all we have to say about that!

    Melissa,

I have a question about cardio. Someone brought it to my attention that if you are running hard that you are building your heart muscle and at that point you are not losing fat. I was told in order to lose weight you need to go at a pace where you are still able to talk, but not be out of breath. I figure if I am running hard, I would have to be burning calories, meaning I would lose weight. (We are at different levels, she has more weight to lose than I, so I don’t know if that was something specific for her).

Anyway, hope to see you at Bikini Boot Camp ………. one of these days – need to wait until my husband will be home. I am really looking forward to attending a session.

    Hi Brenda!
It’s very simple. Calories in equal calories out. If you are running hard and have your heart rate up, you are burning lots of calories! If you are burning calories, you are loosing fat.
Now I will tell you that interval training burns a lot of calories. Run all out for 3-5 minutes and slow down for 1 minute. Repeat that for as long as you are running and you will burn tons of calories.
Your body adjust to a “one speed run” even if it’s at a fast pace. If you interval train, your body works harder to deal with the fluctuation of the fast and slow heart rate and it actually causes your calorie burn to increase.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
See you in Bikini Boot Camp!
    Melissa
